Creative Drama Class 5-8 yrs

Jump into this class of imagination!

Students will participate in theater games and exercises that encourage creativity, self-expression and collaboration. They will explore the art of storytelling using different vocal techniques, physical movement and improvisation.

An energizing dance-based, fitness class with easy to learn choreographed routines to some of the most popular Broadway show tunes! Students/ participants of any fitness level are welcome and will be able to participate in numbers that can be modified to their fitness levels or abilities. Combining several elements of a well rounded workout, Light on Your Feet will incorporate choreographed mixed interval training and movements to help improve cardiovascular health, balance, strength, and flexibility. Not only will this class be a great workout and a super fun time, but you're also sure to leave feeling fantastic and humming some catchy show tunes!

Thirteen-year-old Edwina Spoonapple would do just about anything to be a part of the Kalamazoo Advice-a-Palooza Festival. While her siblings both have proof of their accomplishments, poor Edwina has nothing. When a talent scout from the convention visits her hometown, she trots out her musical advice, giving shows live from the family garage in hopes of finding her place in the spotlight. She is assisted by her older siblings, quirky friends and neighbors. Together, they set out to tackle the world's problems in number after hysterical number from birthday party etiquette to proper table settings.

3rd - 12th grades

Rehearsals are Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30

Rehearsal Dates Include:

April 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26

May 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 31 (no rehearsal Memorial Day)

June 5, 7, 12, 14

 Performances are June 16th @ 7:00 and June 17th @ 2:00

It's the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes all find their cliques. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. The couple cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical. Although many students resent the threat posed to the "status quo," Troy and Gabriella's alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well.

Each registered participant will receive TWO (2) tickets to a scheduled performance.

Buddy, a young orphan, mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised, unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa's permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity, Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the naughty list and that his half-brother doesn't even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Each registered participant will receive TWO (2) tickets to a scheduled performance.
